IUED is an advocacy group of environmental attorneys, scientists, urban planners and environmental specialists. For 18 years we have represented the public interest in all matters relating to Israel’s environment, public health and quality of life.

We need the support of individual donors and members to maintain our efforts to promote environmental protection and to keep on securing the kind of successes – the Clean Air Law (2008), suspension of construction of Ir Habahadim pending environmental and health risk assessments, and others – which the public expects from Israel’s most influential environmental organization.

Protecting the Coasts….from California to Israel, once again….

In 2004, Alan Sieroty, former California state senator, businessperson and philanthropist, gave IUED a grant to support its fledgling advocacy work to enforce the newly enacted Israel Coastal Protection Law.
Mr. Sieroty has once again come to the aid of IUED efforts with an additional grant to cover the costs of its emergency efforts to protect Israel’s coasts in 2010.

IUED Fire Fund - Help us Rebuild

On November 2, 2009, the IUED headquarters in Tel Aviv were severely damaged in an electrical fire. Currently, IUED is housed in temporary office space while new headquarters are located. The insurance settlement from the fire will cover much of the cost of moving and replacing lost furniture and equipment, but not all.
